Guardian Edge has become CHAS Accredited
CHAS is available to contractors of goods and services and organisations looking for suitably competent suppliers. Companies must show compliance with essential parts of health and safety law (the core criteria described in the CDM regulations), and on achieving compliance, a supplier is approved to work for all CHAS buyers.
Guardian Edge’s Director John Moore said: “Being CHAS-accredited is an excellent achievement for Guardian Edge and will help to simplify our tendering approach in securing new business, preserving time and resources within the supply chain. Thousands of contractors and consultants apply for work with public and private sector organisations each month and must meet their health and safety standards to secure the work.”
“Assessing health and safety competence can be a lengthy and time-consuming process. Contractors can sometimes meet one buyer’s health and safety standards, but not another’s. Being CHAS-Accredited reduces repetition as contractors, and compliance is accepted by all CHAS buyers.”
CHAS has founder member status with the Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) competence forum. It is reliant upon continued annual accreditation by an Independent SSIP-appointed Auditor who, in turn, has been approved by the Health & Safety Executive. CHAS is audited annually to ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards.
Guardian Edge provides services & products to commercial, industrial and residential developments, local authority projects, housing associations, care facilities and major utilities.
