SSIP
The SSIP Health and Safety Procurement Scheme is designed to provide businesses with a streamlined and cost–effective way of demonstrating their commitment to health and safety standards.
The scheme helps businesses to demonstrate their commitment to health and safety standards by having them complete a single assessment and achieving a single certificate. This makes it easier for businesses to meet legal requirements and demonstrates that they are serious about health and safety.
The scheme also provides businesses with access to a network of experts and resources to help them meet and maintain the required standards. This ensures that businesses are able to provide adequate health and safety protection for their employees and customers, while also reducing costs and increasing efficiency.
CHAS
The CHAS Construction Health and Safety Scheme (CHAS) is a pre–qualification scheme that assesses and monitors contractors’ and suppliers’ health and safety arrangements.
The scheme ensures that contractors and suppliers are fulfilling their legal requirements and implementing the necessary safety measures to protect their employees and the general public.
The scheme sets out the standards of health and safety that every contractor and supplier must meet, and involves regular assessment and monitoring of the safety practices in place. This helps to ensure that contractors and suppliers are up to date with the latest health and safety legislation and are taking necessary steps to protect their employees and the public.
Natural Resources Wales
is a Welsh Government sponsored body, which became operational from 1 April 2013, when it took over the management of the natural resources of Wales.[2] It was formed from a merger of the Countryside Council for Wales, Environment Agency Wales, and the Forestry Commission Wales, and also assumed some other roles formerly performed by the Welsh Government.
NRW’s purpose is to “pursue sustainable management of natural resources” and “apply the principles of sustainable management of natural resources” as stated in the Environment (Wales) Act 2016.

The Living Wage Foundation
The Living wage Foundation is the organisation at the heart of the independent movement of businesses and people that campaign for the idea that a hard day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay. They celebrate and recognise the leadership of responsible employers who choose to go further and pay a real Living Wage based on the cost of living, not just the government minimum.
By paying the real Living Wage, employers are voluntarily taking a stand to ensure their employees can earn a wage that is enough to live on. That basic fairness is at the heart of what the Living Wage campaign is trying to achieve and why great businesses and organisations choose to go further than the government minimum.
Mindful Employer
Mindful Employer is a national initiative supporting employers to take a positive approach towards mental health at work. By signing the Mindful Employer charter employers can make a public declaration of their ambition to support the mental wellbeing of their staff. The Information Commissioner’s Office
The Information Commissioner’s Office is a non-departmental public body which reports directly to Parliament and is sponsored by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).
It is the independent regulatory office (national data protection authority) dealing with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation, the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 across the UK; and the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and, to a limited extent, in Scotland.
The National Association of Security Dog Users
NASDU promotes standards, training and education within the private security dog sector. They offer support and guidance to both members and end-users, they were established in 1996.
Nasdu is recognised within the security industry by the Security Industry Authority (SIA), British Standards Institute (BSI), BSIA, IPSA, Home Office, NPCC, DATR, as well as many animal welfare groups and local authority dog wardens. They keep members up to date with the industry and related topics together with British Standards, Codes of Practice and training materials.
Action Counters Terrorism
ACT (formerly Project Griffin) was developed to help counter threats from terrorism and major civil disasters. They supply training for security staff, facilities managers, and others whom may be responsible for the security of a premises.
It was an immediate success and has since been adopted in many areas across the UK as well as in Australia, Canada, South Africa and the United States.
